Sebastián Ariza Melo is an artist, pianist, producer, recording engineer, arranger, and musical director currently based in Miami, FL.
I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. After graduating from high school, I moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where I completed a double major in Music Production & Engineering and Contemporary Writing & Production, along with a minor in Screen & Media Scoring.
In 2025, I was appointed Musical Director of LABS (Latin American Association of Berklee Students), where I led the musical direction of large-scale productions involving more than sixty musicians, vocalists, dancers, arrangers, and creative collaborators. Working closely with performers and arrangers, I oversaw rehearsals, instrumentation, musical preparation, and live performance execution.
Alongside my academic and leadership work, I have worked as a recording engineer on both studio and live productions, leading and assisting sessions for artists including Samuel Osorio, Manuela Sánchez, Sofía Escalante and Zav. In addition to engineering, I have composed original music for short films and collaborated on a variety of projects spanning production, arranging, and music for visual media.
As an artist, I released my debut single, Exagerado, in October 2025. Also during the same month, I presented "Sebas Ariza Caf Show" at the Berklee Caf, a performance entirely produced, arranged, and directed by me, which showcased my original music. In April 2026, I released Malviaje, entirely produced, arranged, recorded, and engineered by me. In July 2026, I released Punto Nemo, also produced and engineered by me. Across both my recorded and live work, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of musicians and creatives, allowing me to approach production not only as a technical process but also as a compositional tool and a space for collaboration.
Currently based in Miami, FL, I continue to develop my work as an artist while collaborating on recording, live, and visual media projects. Additional music and creative projects are currently in development.
